The following sets out our respective rights and obligations.
Under these Terms & Conditions, “you” and “your” means all persons named on the booking including anyone who is added or substituted later. “We”, “us” and “our” means The Belvedere Inn.
Booking your Room
To book a room, either go online or telephone The Belvedere Inn at 217.799.6086.
In booking a room, the person confirms that he/she is 18 years of age, authorized to do so and that all party members agree to the Terms & Conditions. The booking person is responsible for making all payments due to The Belvedere Inn.
The Belvedere Inn will confirm reservations via email to the booking person. Please check this over as soon as you receive it. Contact us immediately if any information is incorrect or incomplete. It may not be possible to make changes later. If we are not notified of an error within 5 days, we cannot accept liability. We will do our best to rectify any error outside these time limits, but we cannot guarantee.
Rates, Payment, Charges & Cancellation
The price and terms upon which payment, changes and cancellations are made may vary according to which room/s you book.
Our Deposit Policy on Whole House Bookings
We do not normally require a room deposit.
However, we will require a $200 non-refundable deposit when a party books the entire house for any length of stay. We will keep your credit card information on file until after the party has checked out. This covers us for any incidentals, damages or additional cleaning fees.
As soon as we send your confirmation email, a binding contract exists between you and The Belvedere Inn. United States and Missouri Law will apply to our agreement and to any dispute or claim which may arise between us. Any such dispute or claim will be referred to the appropriate courts.
Changes by you
Please email or contact us at 217.799.6086 as soon as possible if you wish to make any changes to your confirmed booking, We will try to meet the requested changes but we cannot promise.
Cancellation by you
Please advise The Belvedere Inn as soon as possible if you need to cancel your reservation. We will send a email confirmation which will make the cancellation effective.
Changes and cancellation by us
If we cancel or change your booking, we will inform you as soon as possible. We will also notify you if any booking changes result in a price change. We will adjust your invoice accordingly.
Nuisance Charges & Bad Behavior
When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. In the event of malicious, willful or negligent property damage, The Belvedere Inn will charge your credit card the amount of any loss. This may also include business interruption loss. You will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us (together with our own and the other party’s full legal costs) as a result of your actions. A Deep Clean Charge will be made if necessary. The Belvedere Inn will seek remedy in civil court for those losses not covered by a credit card.
The Belvedere Inn reserves the right at any time to terminate your stay due to misconduct. No refunds will be given. Furthermore, we will not be under any obligation to pay compensation or meet any expenses you may incur as a result of your termination.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house. By invitation, you may smoke on the side porch with my husband. Otherwise you may smoke in the lower patio.
If we find evidence of smoking in your room, an automatic deep cleaning charge of $100 will be applied to your credit/debit card.
We cannot accept liability or pay any compensation to you if you suffer any damage or loss as a result of “force majeure”. “Force majeure” means any event which The Belvedere Inn could not reasonably foresee or avoid. Such events may include war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist or threatened terrorist attack, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire or similar events.
Special Requests and Medical Problems
If you have a special request, please let us know when you book. If we are able to meet your request, we will notify you via email. We cannot accept any conditional bookings, i.e. any booking conditioned on the fulfilment of a request.
Before you confirm, please tell us if any member of your party has a medical problem or disability which may affect your booking. That way, we can let you know if we can accommodate the disability. If we feel we cannot accommodate the need, we may decline the reservation. If details are not given at the time of booking, we may cancel when we become aware of these details.
The Belvedere Inn Information
The Belvedere Inn may withdraw or change facilities and services. We will inform you of any changes before you travel if we think this will affect your stay. Our photographs are intended to give you a general impression of The Belvedere Inn. Variations can occur from room to room and within rooms.
Meals: The Belvedere Inn provides a full traditional breakfast and is the only meal included in the price. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know in advance. We try very hard to meet such needs but cannot guarantee that your request will be met. We may call you to brainstorm alternative menu items.
Check-in: Check-in time is any time after 4pm. If you plan to arrive after 6pm please call us at 217.799.6086. Failure to confirm late arrival may result in your room being resold. Cancellation terms may apply.
Car parking: The Belvedere Inn is in a residential neighborhood of Hannibal. The Belvedere Inn does not have sheltered parking. There is plenty of on-street parking on either the Bird or the 6th Street sides of the house. There are no parking restrictions.
Pets: Pets are normally not accepted at The Belvedere Inn. We do welcome service dogs and specifically exclude them from this policy. There will be a non-refundable fee of $50 for each night’s stay for your pet.
We list attractions and activities on our web site that we think you will enjoy while visiting Hannibal. To the best of our knowledge our website descriptions are correct. But please check that attractions are open prior to coming to Hannibal.
Now here is the disclaimer. We do not run, supervise nor control any of these activities. They are provided by local operators who are entirely independent of us. They do not form any part of your contract with us even when we suggest a specific activity and/or assist you in booking it. Accordingly, we cannot accept any liability in relation to such activities. We cannot guarantee accuracy of information given in relation to such activities. And, we further cannot guarantee that any excursion or activity will take place.
